ABOUT THE NMLS LIBRARY
The NMLS Library provides access to legal information resources and services that support students’ vocational training and education, the research of teaching staff and the information needs of alumni. Through its collections, specialist resources and expert support, the Library plays an integral role in teaching, learning and legal research at the Norman Manley Law School. We are committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills and resources required for academic success and professional practice.
The Library offers a comprehensive range of print and electronic resources, including books, legislation, case law, law reports, journals, e-books and subscription-based legal databases. In addition to its collections, students have access to research and reference services, information literacy and database training, digital literacy support, research guides and learning resources designed to strengthen legal research skills and build confidence in navigating legal information.

FAQ
Library FAQs
The NMLS Library is open to current students and staff of the Norman Manley Law School. Alumni and external users may also access the Library, subject to the Library's access policies and the discretion of the Librarian or Assistant Librarian.
You may contact the Library by telephone, email or by visiting the Library in person during opening hours. Assistance is also available through the Library's Ask-a-Librarian service on the website.
The Library provides WiFi access. Please speak with a member of staff at the Circulation Desk to obtain the WiFi password.
Current students and staff may borrow Library materials using their valid NMLS identification. Borrowing privileges for alumni are subject to Library policy and the discretion of the Librarian or Assistant Librarian. Loan periods and borrowing conditions vary depending on the user category and the type of material being borrowed.
Yes. The NMLS Library provides Information Literacy, Database Training, AI Literacy and Legal Research Skills training. Students receive training in the use of Lexis+ UK, Westlaw Precision and vLex Justis, and recorded sessions are made available for future reference.
