Senior Tutor II (Acting)

Ms Yolande Whitely, joined the staff of the Norman Manley Law School as a full-time Tutor in October 2012 as the Course Director for Civil Procedure and Practice II.

Ms Whitely obtained a scholarship for and completed her LLB (With Honours) at the University of the West Indies in 1996. She obtained the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School and was admitted to practice in 1998 and commenced working in the litigation department of DunnCox that year.

Ms Whitely also practised as Legal Counsel at RBTT Bank Jamaica Limited and then GraceKennedy Limited until September 2011 when she obtained the Chevening Scholarship.

She was admitted to the LLM programme at the University of Westminster, London which she completed with distinction in September 2012.

Ms Whitely served as an Associate Tutor from 2003/2004 – 2013 for Civil Procedure and Practice I and currently is an Associate Tutor on the Advocacy Year II Programme.
