Tara Carnegie

Ms. Carnegie was admitted to practice at the Jamaican Bar in 2004. She worked with the Lascelles deMercado & Co. Limited group of companies, as Legal Officer, between 2004 and 2013, during which time she had direct responsibility, among other things, for: negotiating, reviewing and drafting various commercial contracts, including those relating to interests in real property, and other commercial documents; preparing legal opinions; and providing general legal advice. Between 2014 and 2016 she worked with the University of Technology as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Law. The courses she taught at UTech included Intellectual Property Law and Succession Law. She joined the staff of the Norman Manley Law School in 2016 as Tutor. She is Course Director for Landlord and Tenant, and also Tutors on the course in Legal Drafting and Interpretation.
