Personal cheques and company cheques will not be ac- cepted. Persons paying with a U.S. dollar draft should visit the Account- ing Unit before proceeding to the bank. The draft should be stamped and signed before it is lodged. It is advised that you purchase a draft, rather than present cash, as the bank has restrictions on lodgement of U.S. dol- lar cash . Please note: The UWI branch of the National Commercial Bank (NCB) does not accept cash. If you are paying by cash, the nearest branch that this can be done is at the Liguanea location or other. For students who wish to pay tuition fee from outside Jamaica, it can be wired directly to the Law School’s NCB account. Persons paying their tuition fees via wire note should bear mindful that the process may take a few days for the funds to be reflected in the School’s bank account. It is advisable that the funds be wired to the NMLS account at least one week in advance of the School’s registration period. Tuition and all miscellaneous fees are payable in advance. The Reg- ulations, however, allow for tuition to be paid in two installments, where the Registrar is satisfied that the circumstances warrant such a request for deferral of payment. The options available to students, on the Two-Year Programme , paying in installments, are as follows: 50% of tuition fees, plus the mandatory incidentals before reg- istration. 50% of tuition fees to be paid by the second week of the second term. The options available to students on the Six-Month Programme, pay- ing in installments are as follows: 75% of tuition fees, plus the mandatory incidentals before reg- istration. 25% of tuition fees to be paid by the second week of the second term.
